This year’s annual Winter Dinner fundraiser was a successful and spirited evening. GV Spring students and their parents raised over $7,000 to go toward subsidizing the Spring 2011 trip to Guatemala for some of our participants.
Held at The Talaris Conference Center in the U District, attendees were entertained with live music from the band Quichua Mashis while enjoying a gourmet dinner prepared by Executive Chef Bill Taylor, a father of a former participant.
The always exciting Dessert Dash was held after dinner and a raffle closed out the evening. The lucky grand-prize raffle winners received a romantic vacation package that included a night in a deluxe room at the Pan Pacific Hotel, dinner at the Space Needle and a trip for two on the Victoria Clipper!
The night was a great success and further promoted GV’s mission to cultivate future community and global leaders. The 2011 Spring Trip participants will be in Guatemala from April 15 – 30.
A big thanks goes out to all the GV students and parents who helped set up, prepare, serve and ensure that this event was a triumph.
