Leadership Program Begins in November

Global Visionaries offers experiential education to empower young people to become global leaders in creating a just and sustainable future. The Guatemala trip programs provide an opportunity to become immersed with another, promote justice and participate in socially conscious and environmentally focused community service. Applications must be turned in by October 18. A step by step outline of the application process is available on our website.
Our ‘early bird’ applications will be accepted up until October 13, which will save you $50 if you meet this deadline.

In the 15 years since GV was founded 968 young people have been participated in trips to Guatemala with GV.  The students involved with GV come from a wide variety of backgrounds, both culturally and financially.

The Seattle Leadership Program is a yearlong program that features a trip to Guatemala during spring break, April 7-21, 2012, or summer break, June 28-July 12, 2012. In addition to the cultural immersion trip there are culture nights, local work teams and involvement with GV from November 2011 to June 2012 required in the leadership program.

The Intensive Program includes a trip to Guatemala from July 23-August 5, 2012 and an orientation in December.

Fundraising opportunities and financial aid are available to help students and families pay for the cost of the program. Financial aid is on a sliding scale based solely on income, not grades. This year $118,000 in financial aid will be awarded to participants of GV’s programs. In order to qualify for financial aid you must apply and attend financial aid night– October 19, 7-9 p.m.

Testimonies from students that have participated on a trip to Guatemala through GV regularly appear on our Blog.  We appreciate the enthusiasm that past students have shown both for Global Visionaries’ programs and for new experiences. To find our more about the trips please contact us.
