Amy Lyman: Discusses The Trustworthy Leader, Global Visionaries Author Series 2012 at Seattle University

“I’m pleased to announce the Global Visionaries Author Series that we are presenting in partnership with Seattle University. Throughout the year we’ll be inviting authors and other speakers to offer perspectives on ideas related to the themes of leadership, education, environmental sustainability, global citizenship and social justice.  Our objective is to bring together and encourage conversation among a diverse, multi-generational community based on shared interest and engagement.

Our first speaker is leadership expert Amy Lyman, who is the author of the new book, The Trustworthy Leader.  Amy co-founded the Great Place to Work Institute, a leading global organizational development firm and also the group that FORTUNE Magazine calls on to produce its annual 100 Best Companies to Work For® list.  In the book, Amy addresses a key question: How does a leader’s trustworthiness propel an organization to excellence? Amy will discuss this and more on Wednesday, February 22nd at 5:30pm at Seattle University.  We’re thrilled to have someone of Amy’s deep experience kick off the Author Series program, especially given that her insights on trustworthiness are universally applicable to all types of leaders – from the type of aspiring young social leaders who participate in GV’s programs to more experienced business professionals.  We’re also excited to be collaborating on this with Charles Lawrence, Assistant Provost for Academic Achievement at Seattle University.  Admission is free – we hope you can join us.” –Chris Fontana, GV Executive Director
