GV Unveils Family Cultural Immersion & Service Trip to Guatemala

GV introduces the Family Cultural Immersion & Service Trip to Guatemala.

Trip Dates: April 13-21, 2013

Global Visionaries, long respected for its student leadership work in Guatemala offers a world-class family cultural immersion and service trip to Guatemala. Families will experience true immersion– living in the homes of Guatemalan families or in local hotels, learning Spanish in language school, and participating in Global Visionaries community projects. You will volunteer alongside Guatemalans in GV’s projects–building schools and community centers, planting trees, volunteering in a local hospital and working with Guatemalan coffee farmers.

Howard Choder, long-time GV supporter and gives his time pro-bono to auctioneer for Global Visionaries’ annual auction, is bringing his family of four on the family trip this April. Howard said: “I have personally seen GV change the lives and futures of kids that have participated in the program.  When my children are old enough, I’m excited to enroll them for those same positive changes!”

Other highlights include spending time and sharing a meal with Mayan families in rural communities, visiting the largest garbage dump in Central America and the Safe Passage school supporting families next to the dump, visiting a traditional market and creating true friendships with Guatemalans.

Families are invited to attend our Informational Evening from 7:00 – 8:30pm on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the home of Howard Choder and Robin Freedman located at 8025 Crest Dr NE, Seattle, WA 98115. For more information, visit http://global-visionaries.org/index.php/test/20efamilytrip/
